1969 DATSUN 510
This race car was originally purchased in April 1970 from Jack Ingram Motors in Montgomery Alabama. It was driven to the shop and set up for the new IMSA mini stock series. Red Farmer of NASCAR fame was selected to drive. Red beat all compeditors in June 1970 at The Montgomery Motor Speedway. Later the Datsun raced in the SCCA at Talledega and many other tracks. It was restored in 1995 and raced to 2 vintage championships with Houghton Smith driving.
This how it was found in the spring of 1995. The Datsun was pulled from the trash pile and rebuilt by Bobby & Nancy Taylor. Bobby Taylor owned and drove  the Datsun in the early seventies at many SCCA events in the Southeast.
